Another political thriller
Politics has been a favourite theme with filmmakers. The latest venture of director Om Prakash of ‘lockup Death” fame is a political thriller.
Briefing the storyline, the director says, "The election is over and the new Chief Minister takes charge. To his dismay, he finds that a huge sum allotted for welfare schemes had been misappropriated by the previous government. Naturally, he orders an inquiry. With the assistance of two fiery cops, he brings the culprits to book. How he goes about it and who the culprits are form rest of the plot.”
‘As usual, the film has a liberal dose of action, thrill and suspense. There are, of course, a few romantic scenes, of which one involving Ranjitha and Napolean was picturised recently. Though a major portion of the film was shot in Bangalore, the climactic scene was canned at Goa.”
Vinodkumar, Napolean, Ranjitha, Charulatha, Raghuvaran, Doddanna, Mukhyamanthri’ Chandru, Avinash and Costume’ Krishna are in the cast.
Besides directing the film, Om Prakash has written the story and screenplay. M. S. Ramesh has penned the dialogues, Surendranath is the cameraman. Gunasingh has scored the music. The film is produced by S. Kumar, Gangu, S. V. Krishna and R. Praveena under the banner of Sri Annapoorneswari Productions.
