Hi, just wanted to share an instance (i came across here in Bombay) of what Satish Deshpande refers to as ‘unexpected locations’ where claims of modernity may be found. Of course, after all the examples he has already spelt out and we see everyday, it can no more be called unexpected. But this one is really funny: Sometime back I saw a tailoring shop called ‘Shree Fancy Modern Tailors’
