How do I add text to the text box?

Currently we have two kinds of text boxes for most of the objects. Entering data in both the text boxes is easy. Just point your cursor to the empty area and start typing. However, there is a small formatting difference between the two types.

The text box with brief descriptions do not have advanced formatting options. The detailed descriptions, on the other hand, allow you to do advanced formatting which you can either do via the external editor or by copying and pasting the text from a .rtf word document into the area.
